Samsung Exclaim

The Samsung Exclaim

THE COMING OF THE POWER TEXTERs

Texting has become important to just so many customers in America.  In Sprint, first came the LG Rumor with its pull out keyboard.  It was wildly successful.  People who wanted to do texting finally had it easy - a full pull out qwerty (all the keys like a typewriter) keyboard with big buttons for easy usage.  Fun!  Of course, any good idea is going to be copied.  Samsung came out with a similar model called the RANT.  The Rant did better than the LG in two important areas:  a better camera - one at 2.0 megapixels - a figure that starts to rival serious cameras, and even more importantly - EVDO high speed data.

EVDO I know sounds like engineering weirdness as does 1XRTT.  But basically 1XRTT is slower data, but still perhaps 3 times as fast as the old dial up telephone modems.  But EVDO stands for high speed data - which can compete with DSL.  Actually in our own store tests for our area, our EVDO Sprint data systems run faster than our store DSL - even though the store DSL is much higher priced!  And the computer I am typing this on and will use for uploading to the website, also uses Sprint EVDO.  One might say we are sold on high speed sprint here.  So the rant added much power to the LG Rumor.

continued below

So then, this time Samsung who now has the Rant in the lead decides to compete with itself and comes out with an even more powerful phone - the Samsung Exclaim.  One might not expect less from Samsung who now is the second highest in all cellular phone sales in the world, having climbed there quite fast.  The Exclaim has all of the Rant features, but also includes the great roll out phone pad feature of the old popular Samsung 520.  So the screen is maximized and accidental phone calls minimized.  Pull out the phone pad below and make a phone call.  Or pull the keyboard out sideways and you can have great texting.  A power phone - with power DSL (EVDO) speed for the people that want a phone that can maybe do it all for them - at least for phone options.  Yes, you can do Sprint TV, Sprint Navigation with this power phone also - if of course you ensure you have the right Sprint plan to cover those options.
