Direct Connect

SETUP - suggest that you find direct connect numbers and put them in your address book before using direct connect to make it faster

SPEAKER ON? - a button on the cell phone top may turn the external speaker on and off

QUICK ADDRESS FIND - for recent connect, another button on the cell phone top may show recent contacts.  Using the volume control on the cell phone side might then allow you to select the direct connect address needed.

QUIETER CONTACT - find the direct connect address for the person in your phone address book, and then look for an alert button.  Press that and then the side push to talk DC button to alert the person more quietly

QUIETER CONVERSATION - note that you can turn the speaker off - perhaps using a button on top of the cell phone (if off the speaker icon may show a slash through it).  When the external speaker is off, you can use direct connect by holding the cell phone up just as you might do for a normal cell phone call.
