This section really covers only using your Nextel Phone for Hotmail or Yahoo email retrieval

Preliminary Work

Unlike Public Domain Internet or Corporate firewall email, there is no front end work to be done at www.Nextel.com or other location

On Your Mobile Phone

From the menu select, internet, then select email, then for yahoo email example, select yahoo email

• Side Note:  If going through menus on your mobile phone, if the options have a blue underlined number in front of the option, you can sometimes just press the corresponding number on your keypad to skip to that option.
• Once in Yahoo email, enter the password first.  Note that there may be an "abc" control on the right or a menu control that allows you to switch from alpha, to numbers to symbols if needed.  If you need to delete a letter and there is no obvious delete key, try the arrow on the lower end of the keypad that points backwards to the left.
• ALPHA - if you unfamiliar with alpha mode, you press the key several times until you see the item that you wish to enter.  If the next character uses the same key, simply wait until the cursor moves over and is sure that you are done with the last character
• You may need to use the downward arrow to arrive in password, and then perhaps even selecting "edit"
• enter the password - remember to look for an "abc" control or menu control to change from alpha control to
• You may need to press the downward arrow again to reach the point "sign in"
• After you have signed in and reviewed email, note that if you scroll down, there is an option for signing out if you wish

Done?
