FCC

Within the US, the FCC stands for Federal Communications Commission.  This government body in the US determines which wireless service providers are allowed to operate at which frequencies.  The FCC also sets the rules for transmitter power and interference from one wireless service to another.  The FCC in the US must approve all US operated wireless  products before they can be sold and used by the public.
