TACS

TACS stands for Total Access Communication System.  It is really a form of analog cellular that was used outside the US and at a slightly different frequency band than AMPs - the version used in the Americas.  However, like AMPs, it was similar to FM radio in concept.

Other similar versions of analog cellular include not only AMPs but also J-TACs, E-TACs (Europe), and NAMPs (narrowband).
